Jay Benn, Vice President, Operations, Care Solutions

Jay Benn, Vice President of Operations, Care Solutions at PopHealthCare, has over 20 years of healthcare experience, with the majority of his career focusing on operational and financial initiatives to improve revenue, quality and care outcomes for health plans and their members. As Vice President of Operations, Jay focuses on providing value to health plan customers through CareSight, PopHealthCare’s comprehensive high-risk population care program that delivers longitudinal face-to-face, in-home treatment, care support and risk-adjusted revenue improvement for patients with complex conditions. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Jay held various executive leadership positions at UnitedHealthcare of Arizona, including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of Preferred Homecare, one of the nations’ largest providers of home-based infusion, respiratory and nutritional therapies. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Finance and Accounting as well as a Masters of Health Services Administration (MHSA).

Sarah has over 30 years of experience in providing care and developing, expanding and leading programs for high-risk chronically ill and geriatric patients. Sarah holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice as well as dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She also has extensive experience in nursing education, having taught at the University of Louisville School of Nursing, Spaulding University and Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Sarah joined PopHealthCare after seven years with INSPIRIS, where she served as Senior Vice President for Clinical Operations. Sarah is co-author of the book, Gerontological Protocols for Nurse Practitioners (Lippincott 1999).
